ELEVATION APPAREL, was founded by Kenny McGee, in the year 2013, while serving in the U.S NAVY. Mr. McGee worked diligently, scraping idea after idea, until his purpose aligned with the companies brand image. ​

McGee was born out-of-wedlock to single mother "Janice McGee, aka Big Jan." Big Jan was the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters who she loved and valued deeply. Big Jan was a faithful and active member of her Church. 

​

McGee is also a faithful servant of the Lord, and a positive leader in his community.

​

He survived a rough environment growing up in Detroit, MI in the 90's. Crime, drugs, and sex lead many neighborhoods; and a lack resources made it easy to become what you witnessed.

​

Entrepreneurship was always a passion for Kenny growing up.

​

One thing that made growing up in Detroit fascinating was the fashion culture. Fashion was big in Detroit and you wasn't allowed to not know style.

​

From Cartier glasses and Ralph Lauren, to Maury Alligators and Pelle Pelle jackets... we knew fashion!

​

Kenny grew up watching his uncles create ad manage mechanical shops, host party events, and extravagant family reunions every 12-24 months.

​

Now it is time to build his own legacy. Creating something influential but also fashionable.
